Main Street Market in line for million-dollar spruce-up
By KELLY P. KISSEL | Metro editor Louisiana has had 20 boating-related fatalities this year after the death of a recent high school graduate on Blind River. The state had 26 in all of last year. Law officers blame alcohol in the recent death. The Main Street Market is set for an overhaul next year. The downtown market, which hosts the Red Stick Farmers Market every Saturday, will see $1 million in improvements.
