Maeikisala and I leave tomorrow for Costa Rica for a week of extreme contrasts: intense shamanic ceremonies interspersed with laid-back beach chillaxing. It's the closest thing I've had to a vacation in years -- I'm pretty much a workaholic if I don't consciously put the brakes on -- and I'm really looking forward to it! My client schedule reopens for business on Feb. 27.

Remember Me, by Yola Dunne
I've read several wonderful nonfiction books on ayahuasca, the psychoactive plant spirit medicine that has transformed my life so much for the better. Lately I will started wondering: are there any good ayahuasca novels? I'm trying to get one off the ground myself, and wanted to see what might be out there already.
My search brought me to Remember Me. It both is and isn't an ayahuasca novel. As it turns out, Carmen, the main character and first-person narrator, never actually drinks ayahuasca. But that doesn't stop the mother vine from pulling her into the spirit world anyway, giving her a series of soul-deep experiences that utterly transform her life.
Dunne's writing is unobtrusive and consistently engaging. I enjoyed being there with Carmen, a thoroughly modern woman plunged into the depths of shamanic revelation. If you're already walking between the worlds, you'll smile with recognition at the teachings Carmen receives. If this is new territory for you, you'll have the pleasure of receiving timeless indigenous wisdom ... delivered in a thoroughly entertaining package!

Coincidence or Miracle?
"I don't normally go for long-distance consultations, but after stumbling upon Benjamin's 2018 Full-Year Astrology Forecast on YouTube, I decided to give it a go. "Benjamin was a total pro, demonstrating not only deep and, I'd say, intuitive astrological knowledge, but also the patience, intelligence and sense of humour of someone who knows and honours the human condition in all its weird and wonderful guises. "Towards the end of the session, we did a couple of short invocation cycles. Funny thing: as Benjamin led the way, I felt both grounded and safe - and angry as hell. That night, and the next, I had difficulty sleeping - on account of still feeling furious.
