WHAT'S HAPPENING

US markets eked out small gains on Thursday, and the S&P 500's 0.4% gain led the major large-cap indices. The Dow added 0.3% on the session, and the Nasdaq squeaked out a 0.1% advance. However, the small-cap Russell 2000 index lost 0.4%.

Today, futures are edging higher in the early-morning premarket. S&P 500 contracts are up 0.3%.

TODAY'S TOP STOCKS

CrowdStrike Holding [CRWD] - Last Close: $217.03

CrowdStrike is edging higher on a some promising business updates.

The cybersecurity platform announced last night that it secured a significant Impact Level 4 (IL-4) authorization, and the company is now cleared to deploy its CrowdStrike's Falcon cybersecurity platform to a broad range of Department of Defense and Defense Industrial Base customers to protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).

The news prompted a price target upgrade from Deutsche Bank, who maintained its buy rating and lifting its target to $270 on the heels of the announcement.

CRWD is trading actively with a 3.7% gain.

Biofrontera Inc [BFRI] - Last Close: $4.04

A new business update is rallying shares of Biofrontera.

The biopharma firm announced fiscal and business updates this morning that are sending shares higher. Biofrontera said its total Q4 revenues were up 7% year-over-year, and 2021 full-year revenues grew 28% to $24.1 million for the year.

The company also announced clinical updates pertaining to several of its drug candidates, and its drug pipeline seems to be progressing well.

BFRI is up 25.7% on active trading volume.

MedAvail Holdings [MDVL] - Last Close: $1.41

MedAvail Holdings is soaring again as investors turn bullish.

The pharma company skyrocketed yesterday on news that Ally Bridge Group disclosed a Form 4 filing revealing that the fund had added 21.176 million shares of the company's stock to its portfolio.

MDVL soared to a 64.4% gain on Thursday after news of the transaction hit the market., and the momentum carried through the after hours and into this morning's premarket.

Today, MDVL is trading actively with a 44.0% gain.

Endra Life Sciences [NDRA] - Last Close: $0.4468

ENDRA is rallying despite news that an analyst slashed its price target.

HC Wainwright & Co maintained ENDRA Life Sciences at a "buy" and lowered its price target on the stock, but that didn't slow down shares of NDRA. The stock has suffered steady declines over the past few months, but the recent price action could be an indication that the share prices are bottoming out.

NDRA is trading actively with a 33.9% gain in today's premarket despite the price target reduction.
