The Nasdaq gained 3.8% on Tuesday as US stocks rallied. The S&P 500 advanced 2.0%, and the Dow added 1.3%. The small-cap Russell 2K index rallied 3.2%. Today, futures are headed lower after yesterday's rally. S&P 500 contracts are down 0.6% in early morning trading. Penn National Gaming [PENN] - Last Close: $30.92 Penn National Gaming is moving higher on news of a key analyst upgrade. Jefferies analyst David Katz upgraded his view on Penn National Gaming from "hold" to "buy," according to an announcement this morning. As of now, the stock currently has an average rating of "outperform" with analyst price targets ranging from $38 to $80. PENN is trading actively and leading the S&P 500 with a 2.9% gain. National Cinemedia [NCMI] - Last Close: $1.45 News of a powerful new backer are lifting shares of National Cinemedia. The cinema advertising network is surging on news that AMC Entertainment had taken a 6.8% passive stake in National Cinemedia as of April 13th, 2022. News of the backing is stirring up shareholder interest. It could be a sign that the larger theater operator could be considering a potential acquisition. At the very least, AMC Entertainment sees promise in the smaller theater advertising firm. NCMI is this morning's most active stock, and it's up 20.0%. DecisionPoint Systems [DPSI] - Last Close: $4.77 DecisionPoint Systems is running hot after strong quarterly numbers. The enterprise mobility systems released its fiscal Q1 earnings report earlier in the week, and the numbers were strong. The firm reported YoY revenue growth of 22.7%, as quarterly sales surged to $21 million. Non-GAAP EPS came in at $0.06 per share, marking a sharp improvement from last year's $0.02 EPS. The strong quarterly report kicked DPSI into overdrive, and the stock is continuing its hot run in today's premarket. DPSI is trading actively with a 34.0% gain. DLocal Ltd [DLO] - Last Close: $19.25 DLocal is surging on the heels of a strong quarterly report. The FinTech firm reported Q1 net income of $0.08 per share on revenues of $87.5 million, marking year-over-year revenue growth of 117%. DLocal's revenues beat the Street's target of $82.6 million, and its earnings met the consensus estimate of $0.08 per share. The strong figures are lifting shares of DLO in the premarket. The stock is showing a 12.7% gain on active trading volume. |
