BEST PRACTICES TO KEEP EVs SAFE & SECURE |
| Jill Britton, Compliance Director, Perforce Software |
A recent Perforce and Automotive IQ survey of software professionals working in the automotive industry found that 87% of respondents are either working on EV totally or on some electric components. Their major concerns for EV development are the safety and security of the software. To ensure that EVs are both safe and secure, it is vital that functional safety and security standards are followed. By automatically enforcing these standards during the software development process, recalls can be minimized. Additionally, by applying the standards earlier in the development lifecycle, by ‘shifting left’, and implementing continuous compliance, the cost of resolving any issues found is greatly reduced. |
