If the phrase “keto diet” makes you think “but … bread,” you're not alone.
That's why Women's Health partnered with Delish.com on Keto for Carb Lovers — a cookbook and 21-day diet plan.
To succeed on the keto diet, you need to consume 60 to 75 percent of your
calories from fat, 15 to 30 percent of your calories from protein, and just 5 to
10 percent from carbs. This breakdown sends your body into a state called
ketosis, which is a fancy word that simply means that your body is breaking
down fat into tiny compounds called ketones that your cells can burn for
energy. Translation: you lose weight.
But yeah, that's not a lot of carbs — so when you're hit with a serious bread (or pizza, or pasta, or dessert) craving, try these keto recipe hacks from our friends at Delish to stay satisfied without blowing the whole plan.

USE ALMOND FLOUR IN YOUR PIZZA DOUGH

How is keto pizza even possible? Two words: almond flour. Combine 2/3 cup almond flour with 1 large egg, 2 cups shredded and melted mozzarella, and 2 ounces melted cream cheese. Boom, you've got dough.
You can also use almond flour to make an endless number of dough-like dishes, including pancakes, waffles, even crunchy mozzarella sticks. You'll find recipes for all of these foods in Keto for Carb Lovers.

STOCK UP ON
CAULIFLOWER
By now, you’ve heard of cauli rice, but that’s just the beginning.
In Keto for Carb Lovers, you'll find cauliflower in everything from stuffing (yes, stuffing) to twice-baked "potatoes" to keto lasagna.
“Cauliflower is like a blank slate,” explains Lauren Miyashiro, senior food editor at Delish.com. “The cauliflower takes on the other flavors you are adding. When you add eggs and cheese to riced cauliflower, magic happens.”
You can even use it to make grilled cheese! What's not to love?

TURN VEGGIES INTO
KETO PASTA

Zucchini was made for so much more than just zoodles.
Try using shredded zucchini to make pizza crust. Or cut it into thin squares, add ricotta in the middle, and fold into ravioli.
Or, use a vegetable peeler to create wide zucchini strips as a stand in for lasagna noodles (as shown). “It’s a really versatile vegetable,” says Miyashiro.

GET CREATIVE WITH
YOUR WRAPS.
Move over lettuce wraps. Enter: cabbage and collards wraps. Use raw collards in place of tortillas for quick sandwich wraps. Or quickly blanch cabbage to create cheesy enchilada dishes.

MAKE CHIPS OUT
OF CHEESE

News flash: you don't need wheat flour to create the crunch you crave. All you need is one thing: cheese. The chips shown here are made of a combo of cheddar and Parmesan, and they're crazy-easy to make.
