NATIONAL: The Breast Cancer Research Foundation will host a virtual version of its Hot Pink Evening fundraiser on May 20. Elizabeth Hurley will host the show, which will begin at 8:00 p.m., with special guests Sir Elton John, Neil Patrick Harris, David Burtka, Kathryn Gallagher and others.

PRA has partnered with health and screening platform SafeAccess to help event organizers easily create, maintain and communicate health and safety procedures. Event planners can use the system to download secure data reports on federal and local requirements, ensure all HIPAA privacy laws are being followed, deploy on-site COVID-19 tests and contact tracing solutions, set up walk-in bio-scanners to detect temperature and more.

HOUSTON: The new dual-brand hotel Holiday Inn Express Houston and Staybridge Suites Houston—Galleria Area opened last week. The centrally located, stylish new property offers two distinct lodging experiences under one roof and includes 319 rooms with 2,600 square feet of shared, flexible meeting and event space.

NEW YORK: Catering company Great Performances has opened a new 51,000-square-foot headquarters in The Bronx. Featuring a 19,000-square-foot kitchen plus a separate pastry kitchen, the complex also houses a warehouse, a design studio, support offices and The Sylvia Center, a nonprofit dedicated to teaching youth the connection between food and health.

ORLANDO/CENTRAL FLORIDA: Illume, an Asian-inspired lounge atop the JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa, will open May 21. The 150-seat venue has a 5,200-square-foot exterior and a 4,600-square-foot interior, plus views of the nightly Disney fireworks.
