Titled re:sources 2.0, the festival offers a month of world-class photography with works by: Severin Bigler, Henri Blommers, Sabina Bobst, Annette Boutellier, Daniel Desborough, Raisa Durandi, Sandrine Elberg, Patrick Hürlimann, Ingar Krauss, Catherine Leutenegger, Benjamin Manser, Caroline Minjolle, Davide Monteleone, Marion Nitsch, Antonio Pérez, Laurence Rasti, Katja Schmidlin, Ngadi Smart, Fridolin Walcher, Dominic Wenger, Marco Zanoni and the participants of the group exhibitions re:sources 2.0 und SONY World Photography Awards. | | | | | | MOD21009 - SINOMOCENE PORTFOLIO 001 © Davide Monteleone | | Stapferhaus Lenzburg presents the premiere of the Zurich-based Italian artist Davide Monteleone's extensive project SINOMOCENE (2014–ongoing). The work examines China’s immense Belt and Road Initiative, also known as New Silk Road, which intends to reshape the infrastructure of the global movement of goods, services and capital, and shift the geopolitical balance eastwards. A publication under the same title will be published and presented in time for the festival. At Villa des Müllerhauses, we are showing four artistic positions. Among them VENUSES (2018–20) by Laurence Rasti (Lausanne), who in 2018 invited two of her friends – Shaya, an Iranian trans woman she had met in Turkey, and Lena, her neighbour from Geneva – to become the protagonists of an extended reflection on femininity. | | | | | | RiBot © EPFL Catherine Leutenegger | | An excerpt from the long-term project NEW ARTIFICALITY (2015–ongoing) by Catherine Leutenegger (Geneva) is on view at Schloss Lenzburg. Since the beginning of her research into the emergence of 3D printing, Catherine Leutenegger has been investigating and documenting the technology’s rapid development and its wide range of potential applications, looking at the fundamental changes it could affect in numerous industries, from construction to medical technology. The collectively organised photographers’ agency LUNAX based in Zurich was founded in 2016 and currently has 14 members. Since the spring of 2021 Severin Bigler, Sabina Bobst, Annette Boutellier, Daniel Desborough, Raisa Durandi, Patrick Hürlimann, Benjamin Manser, Caroline Minjolle, Marion Nitsch, Katja Schmidlin, Fridolin Walcher, Dominic Wenger and Marco Zanoni have devoted themselves to a large-scale joint project on climate change. Their exhibition Und jetzt? — LUNAX im Klimawandel (What now? – LUNAX under Climate Change) at Stadtmuseum Aarau brings together their various photographic perspectives on subjects such as ecological living, biodiversity, sustainable fashion, glacier melting, proximity to nature, CO2 emissions, globalised consumption, flying, city trees and plastic. | | | | | | Residency Böni Helikon Hallwyl 21-12-21 © Henri Blommers | | In a collaboration with Müllerhaus Lenzburg, The Dutch artist Henri Blommers was invited to be the first FFL artist in residence.
