AUSTIN: The Hilton Garden Inn Austin University Capitol District is opening in summer 2021. The 214-room hotel is a joint venture between Rockbridge and HRI Properties, and it will feature 3,000 square feet of flexible indoor-outdoor meeting and event space. The property is within walking distance to the state capitol, the University of Texas Austin, museums, city parks and more. CHICAGO: Sable at Navy Pier has opened on the Chicago waterfront. The opening of the Hilton Curio Collection property marks Hilton’s 100th property milestone. The 223-room hotel appropriately boasts nautical-themed decor, more than 4,300 square feet of meeting and event space, and sweeping views of Lake Michigan and the city skyline. NEW YORK: KUDO Inc. has launched new features as part of its hybrid meeting solutions. The cloud-based technology now allows remote and live attendees to select the language they wish to follow and participate in during an event. The multilingual solution is integrated in the KUDO platform and aims to bring hybrid events to a broader global audience. Other new features include a virtual lobby and waiting room, advanced polling capabilities and document and screen sharing. The Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF) is hosting its fourth annual Memories Matter event virtually this year. The renovation will double the exhibit hall’s space to 200,000 square feet, plus add 15 meeting rooms, a 58-foot-wide glass hangar door and a 40,000-square-foot ballroom.
