Situated amongst a vast 15 acres of vibrant botanic gardens and gazing out to the pristine white sands and the bright blue of the Andaman Sea, the Wanakarn Beach Resort & Spa can be found in the sleepy town of Thaimuang. This untouched spot of perfection is a hidden treasure in the southern province of Phang Nga just 40 minutes from the airport, and set over two sand beaches split by a narrow river. With a plethora of activities beyond the resort itself to keep you entertained, you can play golf at an 18-hole course nearby, or go horse and elephant-riding, rock-climbing and hiking to make the most of your time in paradise.

Wanakarn Resort and Spa is adorned in contemporary Thai design and houses Pool and Grand Ocean Villas that boast utter intimacy and luxury. On-site you’ll find an epic infinity pool with a jacuzzi, a tennis court, fitness centre, the Sukko Spa and a Thai/European fusion restaurant.

Pool Villas feature a living room with oversized sofa, a Master Bedroom with an oversized king-sized bed and an en-suite bathroom with a freestanding Jacuzzi bath and rainforest shower. Outside, there is a hardwood panelled terrace with a private swimming pool and waterfall shower, where you can enjoy total relaxation in the most intimate of settings.

This week's top travel hacks
BA World Sale - The BA sale is back with some strong discounts on 2018 routes. Particular bargains can be found in business class - Club Europe particularly, which are the lowest fares we've ever seen from BA. Book by 30 January 2018 Check full availability here

BA: Make it a First for £200 - Fly in First Class with British Airways for £200 more each-way than a business class (Club World) booking. It's simple, just book a flight in First and the savings are automatically applied. The upgrade is available on all routes from London Heathrow to North America, except Los Angeles Experience BA First here

10% off Hotels.com - Get 10% off all hotels using the code HOTEL2018. The offer is only available to Hotels.com email subscribers and Hotels.com mobile app users. It's only valid when you go through from your Hotels.com coupon email to their website, or use the Hotels.com mobile app to book. Use the code by 29th January for travel before 28th May 2018.

No London Congestion Charge - The charge (or tax, as some consider it) is being waived between 25th December and 2nd January. At £11.50/day during a normal working week, that makes a fairly nice Christmas gift - thanks Mr Mayor.
