50 years of breakfasts at Victor's Cafeteria

Welcome to another edition of the Acadiana Business Newsletter. Let's get to the headlines....

The closure of Victor's Cafeteria in downtown New Iberia left a hole in a group that had been meeting there for breakfast for years. Owner Victor Huckaby was a World War II veteran and a Marine, and he welcomed other veterans and active service members to come gather for breakfast at his restaurant.

They came — every Wednesday at 8 a.m., right up until Victor's closed its doors for good Monday.
