Good morning! It's Friday, and prior to the Thanksgiving holiday both the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq closed with gains despite a rough start to the week.

US Index futures are currently pointing to a deep sell-off at the open with sharp declines in both Dow and S&P 500 contracts on the news of a new COVID-19 variant emerging in South Africa. Dow futures are down 2.1% and S&P 500 contracts are showing a 1.7% decline.
