Hi John!

Are you ready to make a commitment to your creativity? Or maybe you could use a little creativity boost?

Four tips for building a creative routine:

⏰ Be consistent: A consistent creative practice will help you build skills and hone your craft. Show up on a regular basis (you decide what that is): daily, weekly, monthly. You choose, just be mindful about keeping it up!

βœ… Stick with it even when it’s tough: When we exercise our muscles, we might feel exhausted or sore. But we keep on going! Similarly, when we exercise the creative mind, we might face setbacks like a lack of inspiration or self-doubt. It’s important to persevere and stay determined if we want to experience creative growth.

🌱 Keep it fresh: We need to vary our physical exercises to work different muscle groups, and in the same spirit, we need to vary our creative exercises to work different parts of the brain and explore different types of creative expression. Variety will keep things interesting, and keep you engaged!

πŸ“ˆTrack your growth: When we exercise our muscles, we can see physical changes and improvements over time. Similarly, as we exercise our creative mind, we can see improvements in our creative output. This might be in the form of developing a unique style, taking on more complex projects, or exploring new techniques. Be sure to document your growth because the process of looking backwards and seeing success is wildly motivating and will help sustain your momentum.

Wishing you a colorful and creative week!

Cheers,

Rachelle
