Hello, Wednesday is when we shine a light on some of our fine Lancashire folk and the amazing things they have been doing. This week we take a look at Preston’s Mela festival which celebrated its 25th anniversary in Avenham Park showing off the best of South Asian culture. We’ve also caught up with two Preston sisters raising funds for a good cause with a marathon spin session. Elsewhere, it has been announced a second Paw Patrol convoy for explosion victim George Hinds will take place along Morecambe promenade in July. Any money raised will be donated to George’s family towards his memorial garden. What a fantastic thing to be doing. Finally, there’s the story of a 16-year-old musician who is already releasing his second record and we meet a man looking to break a Strongman world record with just one arm. Thanks for reading, Adam adam.lord@nationalworld.com | |
