Not everyone believes in astrology. For those who do, this week we entered a new astrological season (Happy Birthday, Virgos!)
With Fall approaching, the school year starting up again, and the looming unpredictability of it all, a lot is in transition. And a lot of us are thinking about the future.
When that happens, some of us at team Netted (our editor, mainly), turn to the stars for answers. We know, it sounds a bit “woo-woo” but it helps—and is fun. Whether you engage with astrology to better understand yourself, others, or prep for the future, there is something to take away from it.

Listen to Cosmic Playlists, by Spotify and astrologer/influencer Chani Nicholas. The 2019 Webby People’s Voice Winner generates a new playlist each month for your astrological sign, based on Chani’s predictions for the month. Learn a little, and discover new tunes!
Multi-year Webby Nominee, Astrology Zone by Susan Miller is a great stop to explore daily and monthly horoscopes, and learn more about the basics of astrology. Miller’s site has served astrology lovers since 1995, and is still going.
Explore our solar system, including planets, moons, asteroids, comets, and meteors with this People’s Voice Winner. Webby-winning project. NASA makes it easy to float from planet to planet, and learn more.
At Netted, we love Night Sky, this year’s Webby and People’s Voice Winner for Best User Experience. It’s a great way to explore the solar system in an immersive and magical way. Night Sky also has an AR component, to give a more realistic view of the solar system.
Astrology has long been embraced by BIPOC communities, but diverse astrologers aren’t as widely known in pop culture as their white peers. Here are a few BIPOC astrologers to follow: Tatianna Tarot for guidance, KayxStars for funny astro memes, and Ashawnee DuBarry for tarot readings.
This one is purely for fun: download the Struck app, an astrology-based matchmaking app. The app looks at a chart of where the entire solar system was positioned when you were born, what that means for your personality or needs, and matches you with other users accordingly. Unfortunately, Struck is only available in LA, the Bay Area, and NYC, but it will be added to other cities soon.
Watch the new Netflix documentary “Mucho Mucho Amor: The Legend of Walter Mercado.” The recipient of the 2020 Sundance Film Festival Official Selection, dives into the life of Puerto Rican celebrity astrologer Walter Mercado. It’s funny, insightful, and endearing.
