Everyone deserves some rest and relaxation. Here's how to enjoy your travels without worrying about your weight.
Here are our top five travel tips to ensure you don't undo all your hard work while enjoying a vacation. Move everyday. Include at least 30 to 60 minutes of physical activity or exercise. Our exercise plans can give you ideas. Balance your plate. If you can't follow your meal plan, try to follow the Mayo Clinic Healthy Dining Table when eating out so you can keep your plate balanced and portions in check. Pack healthy snacks. Remember you can eat unlimited vegetables and fruits and these can help you avoid impulsive food decisions often made when starving. Stay hydrated. Carry a reusable water bottle with you at all times and aim to drink at least 8 to 10 cups a day. Cut yourself some slack! It's OK to aim for weight maintenance rather than weight loss over the holidays. Simply get back on the weight-loss wagon once the holidays are over.
