We’re having a boy :)
Michelle and I did a little gender reveal video which you can see here on IG…
And Baby Boy Ballantyne (BBB) is on the way.
Soon we’ll have a magical 3-under-3 (three under 2.5 to be more accurate). Fun times ahead!
We plan to have the baby in the same Playa Del Carmen roadside hospital where his older sisters were born.
Michelle will be choosing her C-section date soon… she wanted to have a natural birth but it just wasn’t meant to be…
BBB will be born just prior to our September 11-13th Mastermind…
We’re holding the event in South Florida … so that it’s close to Cancun and my flight will be short.
Lots of readers, friends, and coaching clients seem to be having their first and second kiddos this year — and so I wanted to share:
The 7 biggest lessons I’ve learned as a parent
1. Moms are superhuman. Nothing compares to being pregnant, giving birth, and being so strongly connected to a newborn. God Bless all moms!
2. You can be tired, and your wife can be tired, but you can’t be tired at the same time. If something is a 1-person job, let the other person go back to bed! Also, prioritize naps!
3. 3P’s solve all problems – Planning, Preparation, and Patience. You must prepare and communicate at a Level 10 effort with your spouse, and you must improve patience daily
4. You must ask for help. Set your ego aside. Dads – Invest in a nanny for at least one day and one overnight per week to help give your wife some time, sleep, and sanity.
5. Remember the days you prayed for this. (This is my middle of the night mantra)
6. Behaviors are caught, not taught. What you say and do is what your toddler will say & do.
7. We decided it’s not fair to post our kid’s faces on Instagram… (and I think it’s flat out wrong to post pics/vids of kids in embarrassing moments). I wouldn’t do it to you… so why would I do that to my child? For what? Likes? No way. So we’ve stopped posting our children’s faces on social media. When our kids are 10 they will be mature enough to decide for themselves… But who knows what social media will look like then!

Anyway, those are a few of the most important lessons I’ve learned over these last couple years.
“2-under-2” has been crazy but fun…
I’m sure “3-under-3” will be even more so.
And I wouldn’t change it for anything.
