Happy Monday! Markets saw some choppy trading action last week, and only the Nasdaq managed to close the week in the green. Today, futures are jumping in the pre-market as U.S. stocks look to start the week on a high not.

 

 

This week, we've got some major earnings reports from some prominent firms. We're also gonna get the consumer spending numbers for April on Friday, and the report should shed some more light on the state of the recent labor market crunch.

 

 

Waning investor confidence seems to be taking the gas out of the recent rally. Slowly but sure, inflation fears are beginning to creep into the market thanks to skyrocketing consumer prices across the board, stubbornly high unemployment, a Wall Street's growing fear of an earlier-than-expected rate hike. We believe the market could undergo a sharp correction or, at the very least, a sell-off over the next few months.
