WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 29, 2024 TODAY: WIND ADVISORY 11AM-6PM Mostly Sunny, Windy Highs: 55-60 Winds: West 20-30, Gusts to 40-50 mph Plan for a warmer and wind whipped Wednesday. A Wind Advisory has been posted by the National Weather Service from 11 a.m. through 6 p.m. Expect westerly winds to gust in excess of 40 mph at times. First Alert Weather will be on "wind alert" for the day. Winds will ease during the evening as a cold front clears the region. Plan for plentiful sunshine and highs, about 10 degrees above average, in the upper 50s. A few neighborhoods in our southern zones will exceed 60 degrees. TONIGHT: Mainly Clear Lows: 29-34 Winds: Northwest 5-10 mph Clear and colder conditions are expected overnight, as low temperatures drop to around freezing. THURSDAY: Mostly Sunny Highs: 49-55 Winds: Southwest 5-10 mph Plan for sunshine, lighter winds, and above average temperatures which should make for a nice winter day. FRIDAY: Soaking Rain, Breezy Highs: 50s Winds: Southwest 10-15, Gusts 25 mph A much needed soaking rain is on the way Friday. Forecasts trends indicate a solid one-half to one-inch for most neighborhoods, enough to wash away any leftover salt on sidewalks and roadways.
