Rain chances will increase during the morning hours with wet weather tapering off during the afternoon. Skies will brighten late this afternoon with mainly dry weather expected this evening. While severe weather is not likely, pockets of heavy rain could lead to isolated flooding, especially along the Chesapeake Bay where Flood Watches are in effect from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

With the humidity, plan for heat index values between 100-105 during the afternoon. An approaching cold front will bring rain and storm chances during the afternoon and early evening hours. Heavy rain could lead to flash flooding. Damaging wind gusts are also possible, so have a way to get weather alerts. WEDNESDAY: Scattered Thunderstorms Highs: 88-90 Heat Index: 90-95 Winds: South 5 mph Scattered thunderstorms continue during the day as the cold front stalls out over the region.
