Our June heat wave peaks this weekend with air temperatures reaching the upper 90s to around 100 degrees. Feels-like temperatures will range from 100 to 105 degrees. Remember your heat safety tips: hydrate, take plenty of breaks in the shade if you must be outside, otherwise, avoid strenuous outdoor activity during the afternoon, and apply and reapply sunscreen. Also, check on your neighbors and pets that they all have adequate cooling. Storm chances return late Sunday.
