A cold front sliding east will bring a chance for rain through 9 a.m. followed by clearing skies and falling humidity. It will feel great outside today compared to the weekend with high temperatures, more seasonable, in the upper 80s. It will feel refreshing with a northwesterly breeze ushering in a drier airmass. TONIGHT: Mainly Clear Lows: 62-70 Winds: Northwest 5 mph With clear skies and drier air, low temperatures will fall into the 60s in many of our suburbs. It will feel very pleasant after some very warm and muggy nights.
TUESDAY: Mostly Sunny Highs: 89-93 Winds: NW to SW 5-10 mph It will be another nice, summer day across the DMV with sunshine, low humidity, and afternoon highs reaching the low 90s. WEDNESDAY: Partly Cloudy Chance PM Rain, Storms Highs: 93-98 Heat Index: 100-105 Winds: Southwest 5-10 mph The heat and humidity build midweek with afternoon highs soaring into the mid 90s. With higher humidity, feels-like temperatures will be around 100 degrees. An approaching cold front will bring the risk of showers and thunderstorms during the midday hours. THURSDAY: Lingering Morning Shower Then Partly Cloudy, Falling Humidity Highs: 85-90 Winds: Northwest 5-10 mph A lingering morning shower is possible, as the cold frost slides through.
