WEDNESDAY: STORM ALERT Rain, PM Strong Storms Highs: 61-66 Winds: Southeast 10-20, Gusts 30-35 mph First Alert Weather continues to track a robust cold front. Ahead of the front, temperatures will warm into the 60s along with gusty southeasterly winds. You'll even notice higher humidity for this time of year. The front will cross the DMV during the early to mid-afternoon hours and may bring a line of strong to severe thunderstorms. Some storms may be warned on by the National Weather Service, so have a way to get weather alerts. Damaging winds, hail, and isolated weak tornadoes are all a possibility. THURSDAY: Partly Sunny, Windy Highs: 45-50 Winds: Northwest 10-20, Gusts 40-45 mph mph Cooler and blustery weather returns behind Wednesday's cold front. Highs will only be in the 40s, but it will feel colder with a brisk northwest wind. Wind gusts could peak over 40 mph. The National Weather Service may issue wind alerts, so stay tuned.
