THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2024 TODAY: Mix of Sun and Clouds Highs: Near 80 Winds: East 5-10 mph Another cool morning in the 50s will give way to high temperatures near 80 degrees. Dew point temperatures will be around 60 degrees, so it should still feel good in the humidity department. TONIGHT: A Few Clouds Lows: 55-65 Winds: Light Another cool night is ahead with temperatures just a few degrees higher than last night. FRIDAY: Partly Cloudy Highs: Low 80s Winds: East 5-10 mph We'll round out this first week of September with higher humidity and highs, still a bit below average, in the low 80s. Friday continues to trend dry for your outdoor plans. SATURDAY: Mostly Cloudy Chance Rain, Storms Highs: 72-76 Winds: Southwest to Northwest 5-15 mph It will be quite humid in the morning with air temperatures and dew point temperatures in the 60s. An approaching cold front will bring a chance for rain, and a few rumbles of thunder; however, new data continues to show a decrease in rain chances and rainfall totals. There's a chance some of you won't see any rain Saturday. If you do, plan for .10" or less. This is likely good news for your outdoor plans, but it remains very dry across the DMV, so the wet weather is needed. The upcoming weather pattern is trending quite dry through next week. SUNDAY: Sunny Skies Highs: Around 75 Winds: Northwest 5-10 mph Morning temperatures will be in the upper 40s to mid 50s, so it will be another crisp start. Plan for sunny skies and highs in the mid 70s to wrap up the first full weekend of September. Download the First Alert Weather app to stay up to date with the latest forecast. |
