FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2024 TODAY: Mostly to Partly Cloudy Highs: Around 80 Winds: NE to SE 5-10 mph We'll round out this first week of September with higher humidity and high temperatures around 80 degrees. Clouds early this morning will give way to partly cloudy skies later. Weather is trending dry for your Friday night plans with temperatures in the 70s. TONIGHT: Mostly Cloudy Lows: 58-68 Winds: Southeast 5-10 mph Plan for a milder and more humid night ahead with a good bit of cloud cover. SATURDAY: Mostly Cloudy Low Chance of Rain, Storms Highs: 70-75 Winds: Southwest to Northwest 5-15 mph It will be quite humid in the morning with air temperatures and dew point temperatures in the 60s. There's a chance for a passing shower with the cold front (especially west of I-95); however, there's a chance many of you won't see any rain Saturday. If you do, plan for .10" or less. Temperatures will be cooler than average with highs only reaching the low 70s. Humidity levels will fall after lunchtime with a breezy northwest wind. Temperatures will fall quick late Saturday, so you'll likely want a jacket for your Saturday night plans. SUNDAY: Mostly Sunny Highs: 71-75 Winds: Northwest 5-10 mph The chilliest morning thus far this season will greet you Sunday morning. Morning temperatures will be in the upper 40s to mid 50s, so it will be another crisp start. Plan for sunny skies and below average highs in the low to mid 70s to wrap up the first full weekend of September. NEXT WEEK: Another week of tranquil weather is expected with cool mornings and warmer afternoons. Highs will be around 80 to start the week Monday with highs in the mid 80s Tuesday and Wednesday. Unfortunately, no significant precipitation is in the forecast, which we desperately need. Much of the area, especially west of I-95 remains under drought conditions.
