Tax votes today: Gov. Jeff Landry’s tax overhaul plan faces a crucial test today when it comes before the Senate and House for expected votes. The Legislature had settled on a plan late Thursday, but the details were still being finalized, state politics reporter Tyler Bridges reports. Setting a deadline: The judge in the Archdiocese of New Orleans’ long-running bankruptcy case gave each side 60 days to show some progress.
