Generation Z -- those between ages 11 and 26, but for housewares research purposes between 18 and 26 -- surpassed or tied the older millennials in plans to buy drinkware, flatware, kitchen electrics and products for home storage and organization, according to the HomePage News 2023 Consumer Outlook Survey. Gen Z uses TikTok as its search tool of choice, they value uniqueness over brand name, and they enjoy physical stores because "[i]t's all about the experience," says Marsha Everton of Aimsights Group.
