GLOBAL: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico’s Hilton Vallarta Riviera Maya All-Inclusive Resort has launched Enclave, Hilton’s signature room category that comes with exclusive benefits and amenities. The debut of the program makes Hilton Vallarta Riviera the second all-inclusive Hilton outpost to implement Enclave (the other is Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya All-Inclusive Resort). Enclave guests staying at the 444-key property can now select from four room categories, including the Enclave Presidential Suite, with in-room, upgraded amenities like a minibar, welcome amenity, and nightly turndown service. Enclave guests will also have access to the Enclave Lounge, which offers private check-ins, daily complimentary F&B offerings, WiFi, and more.
ANAHEIM, CALIF.: The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM)—one of Anaheim’s largest B2B conventions—is returning to the West Coast city’s Anaheim Convention Center April 13-15. About 49,000 people are expected to be in attendance, with nearly 21,000 hotel nights booked, to have an economic impact of about $88.7 million on the local community. This year’s NAMM trade show will boast the theme “Bringing the Future into Focus.”
BONNER SPRINGS, KAN.: Kansas City Chiefs tight end and two-time Super Bowl winner Travis Kelce is hosting his first-ever music festival. Dubbed “Kelce Jam,” the inaugural event will take place at Azura Amphitheater on April 28—during NFL Draft weekend. ELLSWORTH, WIS.: USA Today’s Reader’s Choice has named the Ellsworth Cheese Curd Festival in the top 10 “Best Specialty Food Festivals” in the U.S. The event, which was ranked No. 10, will take place June 23-24 this year, and more than 6,000 pounds of cheese curds will be produced in celebration. Guests can also expect more than 20 other types of food dishes (that will still feature cheese curds) as well as 30-plus types of craft beer, plus hard ciders and local wines. There will also be live music, a classic car show, and a vendor marketplace. The Ellsworth Cheese Curd Festival is free.
NEW YORK: The New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) is hosting its annual “Open Streets: Car-Free Earth Day” event on April 22 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Designed to promote activism and education around climate change, sustainability, and eco-friendly transportation, New Yorkers will receive a one-day free Citi Bike pass to visit the 23 community-produced events taking place throughout the city.
