Since April, residents of North Olmsted, Ohio, have lodged complaints to authorities that their remote garage door openers and car key fobs do not work. A city councilperson and an electronics expert discovered that a local inventor built a device that was operating on the same frequency, which the inventor said he had no idea was causing the blocks but has now removed the device's battery.
