Would you believe that for some residents sending files by post is faster than the NBN. A games developer in Brisbane was forced to send updated files to his audio designer in Melbourne, about 1600 kms away, using the postal service because his Internet service was too slow.

About 8000 Telstra customers were put on NBN plans which specified higher speeds than could be achieved on their connections, Australia's biggest telecommunications provider has confessed.
