83-room hotel planned for downtown

BY ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana Business Editor

It's been about a four-year haul since we first heard about something was going to happen at the site of the old Don's Seafood & Steakhouse downtown.

The owners who bought it back then are going to put a four-story hotel on the site.

This $19 million project will likely be the biggest project in downtown Lafayette in years (the recent Lofts at The Municipal was a $16 million project that also used public funding) and definitely a game-changer for area.

Stay tuned as this thing plays out. I will come with a deep dive on this topic next week.

You can read the full story here.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading.
