LAS VEGAS: The American Gaming Association and partner Reed Exhibitions formally announced the cancellation of the Global Gaming Expo (G2E), which had been scheduled to take place Oct. 5-8. Event organizers will announce plans for virtual events and education in the near future. LOS ANGELES: The Los Angeles Convention Center has been awarded the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR accreditation on outbreak prevention, response, and recovery. GBAC is a division of the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA) and provides third-party validation to ensure the implementation of protocols in response to bio-risk situations. NASHVILLE: The 56th Academy of Country Music Awards will broadcast live on April 18, 2021, on the CBS Television Network. Additional details, including the ACM Awards host and performers, location, ticket on-sale dates, hotel information, and more, will be announced in the coming months. The 55th ACM Awards were postponed due to COVID-19 and will take place on Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. with host Keith Urban. For the first time in the show's history, it will broadcast from Nashville in venues such as the Grand Ole Opry House, Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium, and The Bluebird Cafe.
