The Disabled American Veterans “DAV” of MN would like to take this time to say “Thank You” to each and every one of our supporters. Because of your support, the DAV MN is able to continue our mission – Empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity.

DAV MN serves all injured or ill veterans, whether their injury is visible or not. This past year, the DAV MN, with the help of volunteers, has been able to provide the following services to our Minnesota veterans:

• 55,034 volunteer hours providing free transportation for 25,701 veterans to attend medical appointments at Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Centers

· Free, professional assistance to 8,100 veterans of all generations in obtaining VA and other government benefits earned through service to our nation.

· Donor Connect: provided an outlet for veterans and their families to receive thousands of pieces of free second-hand medical equipment

·       Provided no cost therapeutic outdoor recreational activities to 1,451 Minnesota Veterans

·       Coordinated transportation services for veterans throughout Minnesota to address their respective elected representatives at Veterans Day on the Hill at the State Capitol 2019 and championed legislative initiatives to keep surviving spouses in their homes

·       Introduced multiple new projects to enhance services and programs for women veterans

·       DAV of Minnesota Foundation sponsorship and collaboration with “Serving Our Troops” to provide a steak dinner to Minnesota National Guard Soldiers deployed in the Middle East

·       DAV MN residential pickup service and Chapter Volunteers potentially diverted from landfills and repurposed millions of pounds of donated textile items which provided revenues for programs and services directly benefitting Minnesota Veterans, their dependents and survivors
