A big change for LSU tailgating

LSU tailgates are legendary for their cooking. But when the Tigers play their first home game Saturday, the vittles are going to have to be different.

With drought and heat causing massive fire risk across Louisiana, the university yesterday urged fans to follow the statewide burn ban, which means no open flames. 

If you want to see why state leaders are so worried about fires, these Baton Rouge firefighters told us what it was like to battle the Tiger Island wildfire in Beauregard Parish.  


Some people go to a Garth Brooks concert and get a t-shirt or a hat. But two superfans from Baton Rouge got something way better: A guitar.

Like, the actual guitar that Brooks played on stage. 

Here's the story of what one of the fans calls “one of the top moments of my life.”


It's not time to be alarmed — yet. But Hurricane Lee is barrelling towards the U.S., and forecasters warn it could be an 'extremely dangerous' storm by the time it gets here.
