Career breakthroughs for physicists are more strongly correlated with periods of high productivity than with any particular age range, said researchers at Central European University in Budapest. "This random-impact rule holds for scientists in different disciplines, with different career lengths, working in different decades, and publishing solo or with teams," lead researcher Roberta Sinatra wrote.
