From playing our favourite witch in The Vampire Diaries to being a rom-com leading lady on Netflix, we chatted to Kat Graham about her experience and influence in the industry.
When we sat down with actor Kat Graham at Comic Con Cape Town, she first spoke about how much she enjoyed seeing the penguins at Boulders Beach and how she wished she could spend more time in Cape Town.

The announcement of Graham as one of the celebrity guests at this year's Comic-Con Africa drew a lot of excitement from fans around the country. Many of us had grown up with her starring as Bonnie Bennett in the popular drama series The Vampire Diaries; we laughed at her Netflix romcoms and watched as she blossomed in every role she approached. Seeing her in real life adds to this because she is just as excited to meet her fans as they are to meet her.
The 33-year-old stepped into the world of entertainment when she was six-years-old, starring in commercials before starring in The Parent Trap and The Lizzie Maguire Show. She is also a trained dancer, having performed as a backup dancer since she was 15. And she's a singer who has performed with the Black Eyed Peas and released four albums.
You would not expect someone with so many accomplishments and who has been in the limelight since such a young age to be so down-to-earth, but Graham immediately warmed to us as we sat down to chat.
