A cleaner, more efficient downtown

BY ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana Business Editor

Chances are you've seen them downtown. Kevin Blanchard, CEO of the Downtown Development Authority, describes them as "suspicious spots."

They look like dried vomit, but I could be wrong.

It's stuff like that Blanchard showed images of during a Thursday presentation about how to make downtown cleaner and more welcoming as he approaches his first year in the position. Downtown could use an ambassador program, and funding from the Downtown Economic Development District could help pay for it.

Interesting stuff here, and I'll admit there's more to it than made the story. But you can read the report here.

Have a great day and thanks for reading.
