A short break from snow storms; lower temps tomorrow. Temperatures will dip down into the upper teens overnight. Friday highs will be in the 30s across Minnesota. Don’t forget to bundle up. There will be some gusty winds blowing statewide.

Amid the impeachment hearings involving Ukraine, Minnesotans with Ukrainian ties express their concern. “At a time in which Ukraine is again in the news, we are reminded how important it is how we as Ukrainians, Ukrainian Americans, Ukrainians here in Minnesota tell our stories to the world,” said photographer and musician Stefan Iwaskewycz at a recent gathering. 

A middle schooler in Maplewood bit by two neighborhood dogs after getting off his school bus. Eleven-year-old Carter McKay was seriously injured in the incident, leaving him hospitalized for three days. Police seized the animals, and both were euthanized by animal control officials.

Bought some blackberries at Fresh Thyme in September? Don’t eat, health officials warn. Nonorganic blackberries purchased Sept. 9-13 from Fresh Thyme Farmers Market grocery stores are believed to be related to the recent multistate outbreak of hepatitis A.
