We are living through unprecedented times because of the pandemic which has forced many countries into varying degrees of lockdown for the past two months, with everyone asked to stay at home as much as possible to stop the spread of the virus. It’s a different sort of challenge to the one we usually face and even our beloved Formula 1 is having to deal with it, as we wait to find out when the engines can fire up again. We are ready to restart with all the grit and determination that comes from being a strong, united team, helped of course by the support you give us. In the meantime, we thought you might enjoy us staying in touch with you through two Q&A sessions with Sebastian and Charles, the latter having recently been making a name for himself in the virtual racing world, just as he has done on track. | |

The motor sport world has hit on the idea of transposing the real racing from the track to the virtual universe of Esports. Formula 1 has involved several of the current crop of drivers in some exciting races using the F1 2019 game, the official platform for the championship. At Ferrari, the section of the Ferrari Driver Academy dedicated to this speciality, the FDA Hublot Esports Team is now one of the leading lights in this discipline, attracting a strong fan base over the past two months. At the controls of the cars we have seen sim drivers, David Tonizza and Enzo Bonito, as well Charles Leclerc and several other FDA drivers, including Robert Shwartzman and Dino Beganovic who tackled the Bahrain Grand Prix as well as Arthur Leclerc, Enzo Fittipaldi and Callum Ilott. Charles immediately showed he was on the case, winning the Virtual Vietnam and Chinese GPs, before finishing third in the recent Virtual Dutch GP, which was actually run using Brazil's Interlagos track. | | JOIN NOW |  |
