What a sensational performance by Miguel Oliveira as he scored a famous home victory in Sunday’s Portuguese Grand Prix, the MotoGP season finale.

As it demonstrated with Formula 1 last month, Portimao’s majestic Algarve International Circuit served up a fantastic challenge to the best riders on the planet. Hopefully it can maintain a place on the top-level calendars next year, or at least be a ‘first-reserve’ if any venues can’t host their planned events.

It’s such a shame that Oliveira’s home fans weren’t able to witness his epic win in person, as the place would have been rocking!
