Dear Customer, With just over 2 weeks to go until the big day, I am writing to share with you what we are doing at Aldi to help you prepare for an amazing Christmas. Our multi-award-winning range of festive food and drink is the biggest and best we have ever had, and we have all you need to enjoy the celebrations you deserve this year. Fresh turkeys and unbeatable value From Sunday 19th December, our range of fresh whole turkeys and turkey crowns will be in store. All are top quality, British-reared and available at lower prices than any other supermarket. We have lowered our prices on Christmas veg too and from next week, our Super 6 offer will have carrots, potatoes, brussels sprouts, parsnips, cabbage and swede for just 19p per pack – available in store from Thursday 16th December until Friday 24th December. We’re committed to always delivering on quality, which is one of the reasons why we’ve been named as Christmas Retailer of the Year at both the Quality Food Awards and Grocer Own Label Awards. It’s also why we’ve picked up various product awards, including the badge of best frozen turkey, best supermarket Prosecco and so much more.
Store opening times All of our stores will be open for even longer in the run-up to Christmas, so you can shop at a time that suits you. Or don’t forget you can also use our Click and Collect service which is now available at over 200 stores. We will once again keep all stores shut on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day as a thank you to our amazing colleagues and in recognition of their hard work – something we have always done since opening in the UK over 30 years ago.

A helping hand Lots of colleagues will be on hand in the run-up to Christmas to help you find all the items you need, and we’ve even brought on board 1,500 new colleagues for the festive period. In line with the latest Government guidelines, we are asking all customers to wear a face covering when shopping with us in store, unless they are medically exempt. Our colleagues will continue to wear face coverings too. You are probably also familiar with our other safety measures by now, but rest assured you will still see these in stores. That includes protective screens at checkouts, sanitisation stations and clear signage asking customers to shop safely. Giving back at Christmas I hope you have enjoyed our Christmas advert with Kevin the Carrot and his friends Ebanana Scrooge and Marcus Radishford this year. We believe the message of the campaign, "for you to be happy, you need to be kind", has never been more true. As part of this, we have committed to donate 1.8 million meals this festive period to support those in need – and we know that many of you want to help too. That’s why we’ve introduced community donation points to all our UK stores. Your donations can help make a real difference, and I would encourage you to help if you are able to. After an unusual Christmas last year, I hope this festive period is even more special for you than ever before, and that you get to spend some quality time with the ones you love. I want to take this opportunity, on behalf of everyone at Aldi, to wish you a very merry Christmas. Giles Hurley CEO – Aldi UK and IRE
