I’d have to say the episode with Mark and Patricia McCloskey is my favorite. You won’t find many platforms that would host such controversial guests, but that’s what I love about The Carlos Watson Show. In the episode, Carlos is able to appeal to their humanity without letting them off the hook.

I can’t help but fall in love with the hilarious stand-up comedian Jo Koy based on his episode. He shares great stories about how his mom’s immigrant resilience shaped his sense of humor and the importance of media representation. And it’s wild to see the all-star list of comedians he came up with, including Tiffany Haddish, Chelsea Handler, Gabriel Igelsias and more!

Congresswoman Maxine Waters is a must-watch! Carlos’ connection to this straight-shooting legislator is second to none. Waters appears fearless, hopeful and bold in her relentless efforts to Reset America, including everything from COVID-19, then-President Trump and systemic racism. The cherry on top? She shares her go-to karaoke song, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”

I’ve got to choose two! Rep. Maxine Waters — aka Aunty Maxine — reminds me of my grandmother. Her remarks come from such a soulful place. She speaks life into others and gives me hope. I’m grateful to have her in Congress. And in the episode with Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, it was a joy to watch two of the biggest music producers of all time connect with Carlos. The exchange was magical. I’d love to see Mary J. Blige and Beyoncé up next for a Versuz!
