What mindframe can one use to overcome lifelong conditioning?

Eckhart shares that no matter the situation, your state of your consciousness is the most important thing to be aware of, as it is the foundation for whatever action you take. Remembering to acknowledge your state of consciousness can bring about an immediate shift from reactivity to introspection, and from that place it is possible to meet all of life’s challenges.

I was part of a spiritual group that I believe was a cult. How can I let go of the beliefs, ideas, and traumatic experiences from that time?

Eckhart shares the warning signs for spiritual teachers and groups that may be dangerous to followers and advises leaving these groups. Also, just because a teacher may be caught in ego doesn’t necessarily mean that the entire teaching is misguided, so discerning the deeper truths from the egoic manipulations is a key part of the process of letting go.
