By Bob Warren We’re still trying to catch our breath following the violence across the area over the weekend and into last night. A 4-year-old child suffered a fatal gunshot. A reward was being offered after a nurse was beaten by patient’s relative. And new details were released this morning about the grandfather that police say was shot to death by the father of his grandchild. More threats: Classes at Xavier University went remote this morning following a bomb threat. Tuesday's threat followed similar threats made against several other historically Black colleges and universities, including Southern University in Baton Rouge. A search of the university didn't turn anything up. Comment cards: You had to know the sculpture unveiled recently at the circle formerly known as Lee would prompt some talk. It is. Some compliments, some gripes, some questions, our Doug MacCash reports. Swimming with sharks: Two area businesswomen have gotten a huge boost from the Shark Tank reality show. How big you ask? Their product, featured on the ABC series last year, is on target for $20 million in sales this year. Hope you enjoyed Lunch Line today. Thanks for taking a break with us. BW |
