Trader Joe's: The City Council has paved the way for Trader Joe's to open a store Uptown along Freret Street, agreeing to the demolition of a former school on Napoleon Avenue. James Finn has the details.
Whose sidewalks? Tulane University wants to take over the half-mile of sidewalks where Freret Street cuts through campus, but the plan is taking heat from residents and protesters. Stephanie Riegel has this report.
Let the games begin: Thursday saw the beginning of the National Veterans Wheelchair Games, where more than 570 participants will compete in New Orleans in 23 adaptive sports, including wheelchair basketball, swimming, cycling, powerlifting, rugby, shooting, archery and bass fishing.
