A loss for the local restaurant scene: Clancy's Restaurant is mourning the death of its owner, Brad Hollingsworth, who created a fine dining institution Uptown with, as Ian McNulty writes, "the soul of a neighborhood joint."
Brew pub controversy: A Jefferson Parish Council member has called for a pause in the development of a controversial government-funded brew pub and parking garage on the West Bank. But that didn't stop officials from holding a groundbreaking ceremony in Gretna on Friday. Lara Nicholson and Blake Paterson have the details.
A feud reignited: A long-running battle between the St. Tammany Parish Council and the northshore District Attorney's Office over funding appeared to have settled down recently. But the council's new budget proposal is out, and the DA has weighed in, calling it "a piece of garbage." Alex Lubben has this report.
