Dear Customer,
Thank you for continuing to choose to shop at Lidl GB. We are proud to be serving customers and supporting communities across the UK, working to keep the nation fed at this time.

We are fast approaching the festive period and this year will certainly be different. Events of this year may have understandably left people feeling uncertain about the future, however one thing you can be sure of is that Lidl will be there for you and your family, providing a safe shopping experience and quality products, whilst never being beaten on price.

Safety is our number one priority and I wanted to explain the measures we are taking at Lidl GB to ensure all our customers and colleagues remain safe when in our stores:

How Lidl GB is working to help keep customers and colleagues safe:
  • During peak hours, a designated person will be positioned at the store entrance, working to ensure the number of people in store remains within a safe limit.
  • We have dedicated cleaning stations at the entrances of all Lidl stores, for customers to sanitise their hands and trolley or basket.
  • When in store, floor markings, signage and our audio system have been designed to remind shoppers to keep a safe social distance and adhere to protective measures.
  • At check outs, we have protective screens to ensure colleagues and customers remain safe whilst also encouraging contactless card payments for shopping under £45.
  • Lidl GB colleagues have also been provided with face coverings to wear in line with government guidance.
  • Customers are encouraged to always wear a face covering whilst in our stores. We are mindful that some customers have conditions which makes it difficult for them to wear a mask. However, for any customer who has forgotten to bring a mask with them, there are masks available on entering the store, which they can purchase later.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all our Lidl GB colleagues, who continue to do a phenomenal job in such challenging circumstances, working tirelessly to ensure our stores are safe and our customers can enjoy a comfortable shopping experience. I would also like to thank our suppliers who ensure that shelves remain stocked and you continue to have access to what you need. Finally, I’d like to thank you, our customers, who have shown such patience and respectfully adhered to all new measures that have been introduced.

As we continue to face into the impact of coronavirus, never has it been more important for everyone to pull together and play their part. I am proud of the role Lidl has played, and our commitment to keeping the nation fed remains stronger than ever.
