Canadian Cancer Society Please help us show that love is stronger than cancer this holiday season                                                                                                                                                            Â
I know all too well that the holidays can be difficult for people who are living with cancer, and their families. I had my second-to-last chemo treatment during the holidays. My kids and I usually celebrate the holidays with a big dinner, matching pajamas and a movie marathon. But that year the chemo was so debilitating, I missed that precious time with my family. I fear this year may be especially challenging for people affected by cancer because of the added stress and isolation caused by COVID-19. But you can make a difference for families who are living with cancer this holiday season. Today, I am asking you to help ensure that life-changing cancer research and essential support continue so that no Canadian has to face cancer alone. I believe I owe my very survival to advancements that have been made through research that your donations help fund. I’m also so thankful that CCS’s support programs, like CancerConnection.ca, are there for anyone affected by cancer — people who might be feeling anxious or lonely through their cancer journey. Please join us in supporting Canadians with cancer this holiday season, and together we will show that love is stronger than cancer. With thanks,
