Golf Reminders | View March Club News |
Dear Members, As we look forward to another great golf season, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome new and returning members to Echo Valley! We are excited to have you with us for another golf season. At this time of year, we in the Golf Shop like to give all our members a friendly reminder on a few items to help ensure a seamless experience on the golf course. Tee Times – We accept tee times up to 10 days in advance. Tee times may be made with the Golf Shop in person or over the phone. Our direct line is 515-285-7355.Checking In – As you arrive at the Club, it is always nice to have everyone check in with the staff in the Golf Shop so we can let you know the details for the day, any special circumstances, and get you headed in the right direction. Dress Code – As a private club, we ask that everyone on the golf course and practice facilities dress in a way that befits the dignity of the Club and the great game of golf. This means no denim is permitted on the golf course or practice facilities. It is required that gentlemen wear a shirt with a collar and ladies wear acceptable golf attire. A good rule of thumb is that if it is seen on the professional golf circuit, it is allowed here at Echo Valley. Gym attire, sweatpants, etc. does not constitute acceptable golf attire. Please use common sense regarding all apparel when visiting the Club. Golf Cart Use – We ask that you keep golf cart use to a maximum of 2 golfers per cart. Cart drivers must be 16 years of age and have a valid driver’s license to operate golf carts on Echo Valley property. While on the course, please abide by any cart restrictions and signage you see. Please keep carts on paths when you approach all teeing areas and greens. Driving Range – The driving range is available to all golf members. Range balls are set up on the driving range one hour before the first tee times each morning. The range closes at night one hour before sunset to allow staff to prepare the range for the following day. Event Sign-Up – As the season progresses we will have many golf events. Sign-up sheets will be located on the counter in the Golf Shop; please stop by or call to participate in these fun events. GHIN Handicap – It is always a good idea to establish a GHIN handicap. We offer this service at the Club. Many events on the men’s side will require an established handicap to participate. There are several events for which ladies will want an established handicap as well. Plus, it helps in everyday play to see the progress of your game throughout the season. You may sign up for a GHIN handicap with the Golf Shop staff. Private Lessons – We have a great professional staff on-site to assist you. If you are interested in getting lessons, please let any of us know and we are happy to provide more information. One-on-one and group lessons are available.
All the best, Adam and the Golf Shop staff
