A Message From the Editor

Good Morning. Nine months after A&O and Shearman & Sterling completed their transatlantic merger, the firm's U.S. co-managing partners are traveling around the U.S. doing a "listening tour" to learn from lawyers and staff what's working and what's not. Meanwhile, Herbert Smith Freehills, which hopes to merge with Kramer Levin this year, has hired two litigators from Kirkland and Latham in Hong Kong, while U.K.-based Pinsent Masons has launched a new office in Shenzhen, China. We're also looking at who made the list of 2024's top M&A dealmakers in the U.S. And Milbank's financials show its revenue and profits hit record highs last year.
